Slider Ingredients
- 1 (12-count) package King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- American cheese slices
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Frozen onion rings (cooked according to package directions)
Homemade Burger Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup ketchup
- â…› cup mustard
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
Finishing Touches
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook Onion Rings: Prepare the frozen onion rings by cooking them according to the package directions until they are golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Brown Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and chopped onion together. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Drain any excess grease from the skillet, then stir in the minced garlic. Cook until the beef is fully browned and flavorful.
- Assemble Sliders: Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish or on a sheet pan. On each bottom roll, layer one slice of American cheese, a portion of the cooked ground beef mixture, a spoonful of the homemade burger sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, and a crispy cooked onion ring. Finally, top with the other half of the roll.
- Bake: Brush the tops of the sliders with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over them. Bake the assembled sliders in a preheated oven at 350°F (177°C) for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the tops are slightly toasted.
Notes
- Make sure to drain the excess grease from the cooked ground beef to keep the sliders from becoming too greasy.
- You can customize the cheese varieties as preferred; pepper jack or mozzarella would also work well.
- For an extra kick, add a slice of jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce to the burger sauce.
- If you want to prepare in advance, assemble the sliders and refrigerate them; bake just before serving.
- Using King’s Hawaiian rolls adds sweetness that balances the savory flavors perfectly.
