Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken Marinade:
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Wraps:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
For the Sauce:
- 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a flavorful marinade.
- Marinate the chicken. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, coating them evenly. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Preheat the grill. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat until hot and ready for cooking.
- Grill the chicken. Place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Rest and slice the chicken. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes to retain juices, then slice into thin strips for easy wrapping.
- Make the creamy sauce. In a small bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard. Mix until smooth to create a tangy, creamy sauce.
- Warm the tortillas. Lightly warm the flour tortillas to make them flexible and easy to roll without cracking.
- Assemble the wraps. Place shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced cucumber, grilled chicken strips, and shredded cheese in the center of each tortilla. Drizzle with the prepared yogurt sauce.
- Wrap and serve. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll tightly to form wraps. Slice each wrap in half for easy handling and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor and texture, add sliced avocado or red onion to the wraps.
- Substitute whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option with more fiber.
- Use leftover grilled chicken or rotisserie chicken to save time.
