Description

These Grilled Garlic Chicken Wraps combine tender, marinated chicken breasts grilled to perfection with fresh vegetables, shredded cheese, and a creamy yogurt-based sauce, all wrapped in soft flour tortillas for a delicious and satisfying meal perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Marinade:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

For the Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a flavorful marinade.
  2. Marinate the chicken. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, coating them evenly. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Preheat the grill. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat until hot and ready for cooking.
  4. Grill the chicken. Place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Rest and slice the chicken. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes to retain juices, then slice into thin strips for easy wrapping.
  6. Make the creamy sauce. In a small bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard. Mix until smooth to create a tangy, creamy sauce.
  7. Warm the tortillas. Lightly warm the flour tortillas to make them flexible and easy to roll without cracking.
  8. Assemble the wraps. Place shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced cucumber, grilled chicken strips, and shredded cheese in the center of each tortilla. Drizzle with the prepared yogurt sauce.
  9. Wrap and serve. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll tightly to form wraps. Slice each wrap in half for easy handling and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor and texture, add sliced avocado or red onion to the wraps.
  • Substitute whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option with more fiber.
  • Use leftover grilled chicken or rotisserie chicken to save time.
