Description

A savory and flavorful Everything Bagel Kielbasa sandwich featuring kielbasa sausage wrapped in French bread, coated with BBQ sauce and everything bagel seasoning, then baked to golden perfection. Perfect for a crowd-pleasing appetizer or game day snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 package kielbasa
  • BBQ sauce, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning, divided
  • Melted butter, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare baking sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Slice bread and prepare kielbasa: Slice the French bread in half lengthwise. Cut the kielbasa in half lengthwise as well, then place each piece on the cut sides of the bread.
  3. Add BBQ sauce and seasoning: Generously drizzle BBQ sauce over the kielbasa pieces laid on the bread. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning evenly over each piece of kielbasa.
  4. Roll and season the bread: Carefully roll the bread over the kielbasa, enclosing the sausage completely like a wrap. Brush the outside of the bread with melted butter, then sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning evenly on top.
  5. Bake: Place the rolled sandwich seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the kielbasa is heated through.
  6. Rest and serve: Remove from oven and let the sandwich rest for 5 minutes to set. Slice into 1-inch pieces and serve warm with additional BBQ sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, you can broil the sandwich for 1-2 minutes at the end of baking but watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • Use your favorite BBQ sauce variety to customize the flavor—spicy, sweet, or smoky.
  • Everything bagel seasoning adds a savory, nutty flavor but can be omitted or substituted if unavailable.
  • Make sure to slice the sandwich after resting for cleaner, easier cuts.
  • This recipe can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving for convenience.
