Ingredients
Scale
Smoothie Ingredients
- 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed or store-bought, no pulp for smooth texture)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla for extra sweetness)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (whey, plant-based, or your favorite)
- 1/2 frozen banana (adds creaminess)
- 1/2 cup frozen orange segments (or 1/2 cup frozen mango for extra sweetness)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional, enhances the “creamsicle” flavor)
- 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness adjustment)
- 1/4 cup milk or almond milk (adjust for desired thickness)
- Ice cubes (optional, for thicker and colder smoothie)
Instructions
- Add Ingredients to Blender: Combine orange juice, Greek yogurt, protein powder, frozen banana, frozen orange segments, vanilla extract, and milk in a blender container.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed for 30–60 seconds until the mixture is creamy and smooth. If you prefer a thicker and frostier texture, add a few ice cubes and blend again until incorporated.
- Taste and Adjust: Taste the smoothie and add honey or maple syrup to increase sweetness if desired. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk or orange juice to reach your preferred consistency.
- Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into a tall glass. Optionally, garnish with an orange slice or a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy immediately for the best creamy texture.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, substitute half of the Greek yogurt with frozen yogurt.
- Increase protein content by adding an extra scoop of protein powder or 1 tablespoon of peanut butter.
- For a dairy-free version, use coconut yogurt and almond milk instead of Greek yogurt and cow’s milk.
- To make a frosty popsicle treat, pour the smoothie into popsicle molds and freeze for 4–6 hours.
