Description

These Cheesy Chicken Garlic Wraps are a quick and delicious meal featuring seasoned, sautéed chicken wrapped in warm flour tortillas with creamy garlic sauce and a blend of melted cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, they make the perfect satisfying lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 large chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Wrap Components

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup creamy garlic sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: In a bowl, combine the diced chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly with all the seasonings.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken to the pan and cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken pieces are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the tortillas: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread a layer of creamy garlic sauce evenly over each tortilla. Then, distribute the cooked chicken evenly over each tortilla, followed by sprinkling the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Form and grill the wraps: Fold each tortilla over the filling to form a wrap. In the same non-stick pan, place the wraps and grill them for 2-3 minutes on each side until the cheese inside melts and the tortillas become golden and crispy.
  5. Serve: Remove the wraps from the pan, cut each in half for easier handling, garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute the creamy garlic sauce with ranch or a garlic aioli for a different flavor profile.
  • For a spicier kick, add some chili powder or cayenne pepper to the chicken seasoning.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if preferred.
  • To make this recipe vegetarian, replace chicken with grilled mushrooms or jackfruit, and use plant-based cheese.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in a pan or oven to maintain crispness.
